There is no limit of 3 lakh taka in digital transactions
Unlike last week, the maximum amount of cash withdrawal from a bank account this week has been increased by one lakh to three lakhs. Customers can transfer any amount of money and do digital transactions even though there is a limit on cash withdrawal due to security concerns in the case of money transfer.
Bangladesh Bank gave this instruction in an urgent message to the Managing Directors of the banks on Saturday. According to the instructions, there is a problem in transferring money to the branch due to security reasons. For that reason, not more than three lakh taka can be withdrawn from one account. Transaction monitoring through checks should be strengthened and suspicious transactions should be stopped.
An official of Bangladesh Bank said that a new government has taken charge in the country. But the presence of law-and-order forces is less. There are security concerns in the transportation of money. Apart from this, this decision is so that no one can create an unstable environment with cash at this time.
That's why there is this limit in withdrawing cash not only from banks, but also from booths or machines.
